Walleye Blanked by Owens
Saturday, June 30th , 2068
Bill Owens of the Saskatoon Scorpions toyed with the Lake Erie Walleye, as he shut them out, 4-0, at Medusas Ballpark. He was almost untouchable, twirling a 4-hitter with 4 strikeouts and no walks.
"I'm sweating now because it's hot in here," Owens said in the clubhouse after the game. "But it didn't even feel like I was sweating out there."
Thus far this season, Owens has posted a 4-4 record, started 14 games, struck out 91 batters in 92.2 innings and compiled a 2.72 ERA.
