Jacobs Tames Phoenix 8-0, 16 Ks Sunday, July 19th , 2065 Roland Jacobs of the Memphis Steamers put on a pitching clinic today at Goldbugs Stadium as he struck out 16 Phoenix Phoenix in a 8-0 victory. Jacobs, who is tied for 3rd in the RRL with a 2 complete games, was simply magnificent as he held the Phoenix to 3 hits. He walked 4. "I felt okay at the beginning," Jacobs said, "but eventually my fastball really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game." When asked about Jacobs's performance, Steamers manager shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating."
