Ávila Takes Charge, Blanks Bumblebee, 7-0 Friday, May 17th , 2069 José Ávila kept the Bumblebee Tuna hitters from doing much damage at Abbots Stadium. Bumblebee could only muster 4 hits and draw no walks against the left-handed Ávila, who controlled them throughout the game. Novi won the contest, 7-0. Ávila added 11 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Ávila told reporters after the shutout win.
