ALL's Best Batter Picked Thursday, August 1st , 2069 Frank Whitfield is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Battle Creek second baseman joined that select company when the Abraham Lincoln League announced the results of July's voting. Whitfield totaled 25 hits, 10 walks, 6 home runs, 18 RBIs and 15 runs scored last month to put together a .368 batting average and .456 on-base percentage. So far this season, Whitfield has 8 home runs and a .331 batting average. |
