Hernández Sizzles -- Smokes Lizards for 5 Hits Saturday, July 28th , 2068 It was a good day for the Scouts at Mammoth Ballpark as they clipped the Lafeyette Lizards, 16-7. It was tremendous day for Roberto Hernández, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 5-for-6. "I don't know what to call that," the Savannah center fielder told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well." Roberto Hernández singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. This year, Hernández has socked 118 hits in 387 at-bats for a .305 average with 6 home runs. He is getting on base at a .350 pace and his totals also include 57 RBIs and 46 runs scored.
