5-for-5 Game for Cummings Wednesday, August 19th , 2065 It was a sensational day at the plate for Ray Cummings as he led the charge to a 21-4 win over the Mixers. The Trois Rivieres left fielder was pure misery for the Madison pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Cummings put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said , manager for the Mixers, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Ray Cummings singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
