Hirano Clips Shrimp N Grits for Cycle

Rintaro Hirano did everything he could for the Bloomington Buzzards -- literally.
The 21-year-old left fielder hit a single, a double, a triple and a home run for the Buzzards, going for the cycle and helping them get past the Charleston Shrimp N Grits, 6-5, at Lawmen Ballpark.
"Yeah, I was some kind of hitter in this game," Hirano reflected later. "It was like all I had to do was close my eyes and swing the bat."
In a game headed for the record books, Hirano banged out 4 hits in 5 at-bats and totaled 1 run batted in and 3 runs scored. Speaking with the press about the feat, he attributed it to "a lot of luck."
"A triple is so hard to hit," he said. "To just decide to get one in a game when you need it for a cycle, it's impossible. Usually something weird has to happen, the ball kicking past an outfielder or somebody falling down. There's a ton of luck in hitting for a cycle."
Rintaro Hirano singled in the 1st, tripled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Ryuichi Takeda in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.
In this current campaign Hirano is hitting at a .230 clip with 2 home runs and 7 RBIs.
