Oregon Takes Round 1 in Deciding Game
TTWB Single A pundits who figured the Round 1 between the Oregon Otters and Bumblebee Tuna would go the distance were right on the mark.

The two teams battled back and forth in a spirited series, with Oregon coming out on top thanks to a 6-3 win in the deciding game at Wayfarers Ballpark, to wrap things up 3-2.

"You get to the last game and anything can happen, so we're overjoyed to come out on top," said Otters third baseman Sergio Billings, who was named series MVP.

For the series, Billings had 7 hits for a .438 average. He had 1 home runs, 7 RBI and scored 5 runs.

The Oregon Otters don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Vermillion Aurorae - Memphis Steamers series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
