Victoria Sweeps into the Round 2
Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the Sub League 2 Round 1. It turned out quite a bit different.


The Victoria Secrets swept aside the Madison Mallards to advance to the Round 2, winning the final game by a 5-1 score at Ballpark of Fulton.

The series MVP was right fielder Rick Gibbs, who hit .545 with a .667 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 0 runs.

"We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it."

The Victoria Secrets don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Kupo City Moogles - Bad Axe Hatchets series. That series is tied at 1 game each. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
