It wasn't easy but the Bad Axe Hatchets made it look that way.

Starter Orlando Archuleta shut out the Lafitte Dream despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Bad Axe Hatchets cruised to victory, 11-0. Archuleta allowed only 7 hits and rang up 13 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."

Archuleta has made 6 starts, tossed 39.2 innings, struck out 51 batters and walked 19. His record is 4-0 with a 2.95 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .228 batting average.
