Hernández Sets Home Run Mark Sunday, March 15th , 2122 There's a new Sultan of Swat in the baseball world. Jorge Hernández went deep for home run number 14 of his illustrious career, making the Mahoning Valley Scrappers slugger the all-time home run king. Hernández surpassed Wayne McKenzie with a historic blast at Raging Bulls Park to take over the top spot. He facetiously told the press that he "was grateful to all the pitchers who made this day possible." Switching to a more serious tone, Hernández gave thanks and credit to his managers, coaches and teammates along the way for helping him succeed "far more than I had ever dreamed." Jorge Hernández flied out in the 2nd and homered off Fraser Draper in the 4th. |
