Sánchez Tosses 2-0 Shutout for Vancouver
All went well for José Sánchez of the Vancouver Thunder as he pitched his team to a shutout victory, 2-0, over the North Shore Honu, limiting them to 3 hits. In the postgame interview, both managers had glowing things to say about Sánchez on the day.

"José's got a good selection of pitches he can throw at a guy," said Thunder manager Adam Annis-Brown. "He changes speed, gives different looks to different hitters. When he's on his game, he's quite a handful."

In the contest, the Vancouver right-hander rang up 7 and surrendered no walks.

"He didn't give us any second chances," said Honu manager Sid Hamlin. "It's a guessing game with him and today we were always guessing wrong."

Sánchez has made 17 starts, tossed 94.2 innings, struck out 63 batters and walked 36. His record is 5-9 with a 5.70 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .270 batting average.
