Cannon Blasts Thunder, Toros Bravos Take Game 5, 6-5
The Mexico City Toros Bravos defeated the Vancouver Thunder, 6-5, in 12 innings in Game 5 of the Round 2. Making an impact was right fielder Scott Cannon, who was 3 for 6 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The win narrows Mexico City's deficit in the series to 3-2.

The game was all tied up in the top of the 12th, until Cannon delivered big-time for Mexico City, stroking a dramatic solo home run off Dan Cholmeley. The game-changing hit put the Toros Bravos on top, 6-5.

"We had a chance to win," said Vancouver manager Adam Annis-Brown, "but we didn't get it done."

Game 6 is scheduled for Tuesday at Trono de los reyes des beisbol in Mexico City.
