Lake Monsters Suffer 2-1 Home Defeat
Vancouver Thunder starter Nobukazu Matsuda was in the groove. He led his team to a win over the Minnesota Lake Monsters, 2-1. Tommy Morris recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 10 for 11. The Thunder now have a record of 37-39 with the win over Minnesota.

Vancouver used the hitting of Alberto Rivera to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Thunder on top, 2-1. For the game, Rivera had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Nobukazu did a good job mixing and matching," said Vancouver manager Adam Annis-Brown.
