The Buffalo Blizzard easily defeated the Mexico City Toros Bravos, 17-4, at Trono de los reyes des beisbol, with first baseman César Álvarez a main contributor to the win. He went 3-5 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5 for Buffalo. César Mendoza got the win, improving to 2-1. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 10 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 1. The win elevated the Blizzard to 20-16.

Buffalo used a well-timed hit by Jeremy Smith to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Blizzard ahead, 5-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
