Rodríguez Befuddles Maine in 5-0 New York Win
Julián Rodríguez put a hex on the Maine Guides in a sparkling 5-0 shutout performance, mesmerizing them on a 3-hit gem.

"I felt good physically," he said after the game. "Everything's comfortable. You should pitch well when that's the case."

The Guides were anything but comfortable against the 23-year-old New York Force hurler, who fanned 6 and gave up 2 walks.

"Rodríguez used his changeup very well, very effectively," said opposing manager Scott Kaplan. "He threw it in hitter's counts."

To date, Rodríguez has a 10-8 mark in 31 starts with a 3.06 ERA. He has given up 161 hits in 191.1 innings, struck out 155 and issued 58 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .229 batting average against him.
