Mexico City beat Milwaukee at Trono de los reyes des beisbol, escaping with a 4-3 win. The win in large part was due to center fielder Dave McAlevey. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times. Steve Edwards sewed up the save, his 26th. At 70-67, the Toros Bravos are currently third in the Western League Bubba Lee Division.

In the bottom of the 3rd, Mexico City took the lead on a 2-run single by George Stinson. At the time, the Toros Bravos were trailing 1-0, but Stinson's hit with two outs against Milwaukee pitcher Ed Gibraltar put them in front, 2-1.

McAlevey attributed the triumph to "a good team effort."
