The Toronto Maple Leafs and Buffalo Blizzard duked it out at The Ballyard.

Buffalo designated hitter Andy McGregor had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 6-5, to Toronto at The Ballyard. McGregor was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Reliever Quinn Toope picked up the win. His record improves to 3-2. Dave Squarebriggs, who finished 5th in the EL in saves with 21 in 2118, took the loss. Chad Brown collected save number 22.

León Salehroa came through with a big-time hit for Toronto. The third baseman smacked a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 6-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We just battled, never quit, and continued to grind out at-bats trying to create some opportunities," said Toronto manager Mark Sambor.

After today's action, Toronto sits at 74-59, while Buffalo falls to 57-75.
