The Los Angeles Eruption beat the Memphis Catfish by a score of 6-5. Los Angeles third baseman Chandler Wright deserved the lion's share of the credit. Wright was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Eruption. With the win, Los Angeles goes to 7-6.
In the top of the second, Juan Rea delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Los Angeles left fielder hit a 2-run single, putting the Eruption in front, 6-5.
"It makes it a little nicer in the clubhouse when we win," said Wright. "It eases the tension."
