The New York Force did just enough to secure a victory over the Memphis Catfish, 5-4, in 11 innings at Legends Field. Nobody did more than center fielder Greg Oglethorpe. The Force raised their record to 49-73.

New York needed the clutch hitting of Billy Covington to seal the deal. The first baseman swatted a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Force on top, 5-4. For the game, Covington had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Covington.
