Late Offense Lifts Mexico City to 8-6 Victory
The Mexico City Toros Bravos defeated the Los Angeles Eruption, 8-6. First Baseman Salvador Rojas deserved a large share of the credit. Rojas was 2 for 2 with a triple, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs for the Toros Bravos. Mexico City reliever Steve MacGruder picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Billy Greenwood took the loss. The victory gives the Toros Bravos a record of 60-46.

Had Rodrigo Ramos not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Ramos hit a run-scoring triple. That made the score 7-6, in favor of the Toros Bravos.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Ramos, "but we got it done."
