Connecticut beat New York at Lumberjack Park, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to pinch hitter Gary Schultz. He was 1-1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Chris Long finished the game for Connecticut and earned his 1st save. Connecticut is now 44-60, New York 40-63.

Connecticut took control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, Chad Reynolds hit a run-scoring single to make it 5-4, Crosscutters.

"We take it day by day here," said Schultz, "and today was a good one for us."
