The Milwaukee Choppers and Toronto Maple Leafs played an entertaining game for Maple Leaf Park at Hanlan's Point patrons.

The Milwaukee Choppers had to overcome a fine effort from Toronto pitcher Alfredo Sosa to win, 5-4, at Maple Leaf Park at Hanlan's Point. Sosa went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. Now 4-7, the Maple Leafs have not played well this season.

Jim McClurkin came through with a big-time hit for Milwaukee. The pinch hitter smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 5-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Toronto manager Mark Sambor.
