The Toronto Maple Leafs weathered a fine game by Buffalo right fielder Andrew Long to upend the Blizzard, 8-6, at The Ballyard. Long went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Michael Ridley was the winner. Over 6.2 innings, he yielded 6 runs on 8 hits, with 2 walks and 1 strikeout. Earning his 15th save for Toronto was Chad Brown.

Toronto used the hitting of León Salehroa to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Maple Leafs on top, 6-1. For the game, Salehroa had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
