The Connecticut Crosscutters went home winners at Lumberjack Park, thanks in large part to starter José Pérez. Pérez stifled the Buffalo Blizzard, enabling Connecticut to grab the 3-1 win. The 5th-place Crosscutters are now 39-50, the Blizzard 43-45.

The Crosscutters got a big at-bat from second baseman Colby Golunski. For the game, Golunski was 1 for 3 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Connecticut a 2-0 lead.
