Sheldon reaches base 4 times, Leads Yankees to Win
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the New York Yankees and Seattle Mariners.
New York shortstop Chris Sheldon picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Seattle Mariners, 6-5. New York is 53-25 and Seattle, with the loss, 35-45.
Sheldon contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for New York in the top of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Sheldon took a sinker from Tucker Marleau and stroked the home run to left-center. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Yankees to leap in front, 2-1.
"Anything I can do to help the team win," said Sheldon.
