Great Day for Wiscovitch -- 5 Hits
Sunday, June 14th , 2037
Even as a kid, Dan Wiscovitch said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Day Air Ballpark, Wiscovitch showed how well he learned that lesson.
The 24-year-old second baseman had 5 hits in 5 at-bats for the Dayton Dragons, helping his team knock off the Fort Wayne TinCaps by a score of 10-5.
"They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did."
Dan Wiscovitch singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
In 55 games this season, Wiscovitch has compiled a .271 batting average with 51 hits and 2 home runs. He has also scored 25 times and knocked in 16 runs.
