2038 Premier Player Picked By A+ W
Sunday, October 3rd , 2038
At the age of 26, Steve Pizzo of the Eugene Emeralds could very well have his best years ahead of him.

It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2038 was good enough to win the center fielder the High-A West Most Valuable Player Award.

"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."

The top hitter put up a .347 batting average this year, as well as a .437 on-base percentage. He played 124 games and racked up 176 hits, 50 doubles, 5 triples, 10 home runs, 57 RBIs and 116 runs scored.

He received 4 first place votes out of a possible 6. Mike Goad of the Hillsboro Hops finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Chris Privitera of the Tri-City Dust Devils finished third with 1 first place vote.
