Thursday, June 11th , 2037
5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Omaha's Ben Winder made it happen against the Saints. Everything came together at the plate for the 26-year-old first baseman as he collected 5 hits in 7 at-bats -- and helped the Storm Chasers triumph, 19-4, at CHS Field.
"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Winder said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em."
Ben Winder singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run double in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 9th.
So far this year, Winder is batting .320 with 5 home runs and 20 RBIs.
