Seals Win Final Stage Thursday, November 6th , 2036 The Johannesburg Seals proved to be too much to handle for the Durban Conquistadors in the Final Stage, and a sweep was the end result. Johannesburg punched its ticket to the Japan Series on the strength of a 6-1 win in the deciding game, which wrapped up the series 3-0. Johannesburg shortstop Maziba Naybet, named series MVP, was instrumental in the sweep, as he mashed Durban pitching to the tune of a .333 average, with a .538 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 6 runs. The Johannesburg Seals don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Vereeniging Cheetahs - Soweto Warcats series. Vereeniging leads the series 2 games to 1. The Japan Series schedule will be announced after the Final Stage finishes. |
