Tortugas No Match for Giraud, Mighty Mussels in 10-0 Thumping
Régis Giraud subdued the Daytona Tortugas, 10-0, pitching a 5-hit gem for the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels at Jackie Robinson Ballpark.

"He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Fort Myers skipper said.

Giraud registered 9 strikeouts and issued 1 walk in his superb performance.

"We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Daytona manager after the defeat.

To date this season, Giraud sports a 2-3 mark with a 2.91 ERA in 12 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .273 batting average and has 69 strikeouts in 65 innings.
