Durban Moves on to Japan Series
|
By a score of 5-1, the Durban Conquistadors have sealed a victory in the Final Stage over the Benoni Seagulls.
"We knew we would be in for a tough series and that's what we got," said third baseman Aidan Ainley of the Conquistadors, who was named the series MVP. "The Seagulls knew how to battle and gave us a good test."
The next test for Durban will come in the Japan Series, after winning this series 3-1.
The Durban Conquistadors will play against the Tembisa Scorpions in the next round. Tembisa won their series against the Brakpan Red Hawks 3 games to 0. The Japan Series schedule will be announced after the Final Stage finishes.
