Season-Ending Injury for Isaiah Kurkchian
Sunday, August 10th , 2059
The doctors have spoken and Isaiah Kurkchian of the Sierra Vista Hummingbirds didn't like what he heard. The 18-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Kurkchian sustained his season-ending injury during the Bullhead City Catfish game yesterday at Surprise Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Sierra Vista medical staff reported Kurkchian had a torn rotator cuff and would be absent from the lineup for at least 12 months.
In 8 starts this season, Kurkchian has chalked up a 2-0 record and a 1.57 ERA.
