Goodell Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Oviedo Wednesday, August 31st , 2067 Cape Coral Hammerheads catcher Bernard Goodell finally met his Waterloo. A 22-game hitting spree is now history after Goodell was unable to make anything happen in 2 at-bats today against the Oviedo Catch. Fortunately for Goodell and the Hammerheads, the rest of his team had enough in their bats to win the game, 4-1. "We're a true team here," he said. "For 22 games I've been able to contribute, but I always believed these guys would take care of things if I couldn't some day." This season, Goodell is batting .398 with 37 hits, 4 home runs, 11 RBIs, .446 OBP and has scored 14 runs. |
