Hummingbirds Lance Hendershot Will Miss Season Friday, July 13th , 2063 Lance Hendershot of the Hummingbirds just might have to call it quits for the season. The 18-year-old Sierra Vista starting pitcher received a possible season-ending injury against the Chandler Ranchers recently at Surprise Stadium. Hendershot suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch. The Hummingbirds medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 10-11 months. Hendershot has fashioned a 0-2 mark for the season, 6.23 ERA and thrown 13 innings in 0 starts. Opposing clubs are batting .321 against him. |
