Zach Ardrey Out for Season Thursday, July 13th , 2051 The doctors have spoken and Zach Ardrey of the Scottsdale Salamanders didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old shortstop is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Ardrey sustained his season-ending injury during the Gilbert Geckos game yesterday at Camelback Ranch. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while running the bases. Today the Scottsdale medical staff reported Ardrey had a broken bone in the elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 5 months. This year Ardrey has hit at a .365 pace and produced 7 RBIs, 1 home run and scored 5 runs. |
