Wollam Sizzles with 31-Game Batting Streak Monday, August 23rd , 2060 Liam Wollam, center fielder for the Phoenix Armadillos, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 31 games with 2 hits in his club's 4-0 victory over the Sedona Steers at Maryvale Baseball Park. "Not the outcome we wanted," Sedona manager Matt LaCoste said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Liam Wollam struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 7th and walked in the 8th. Wollam has a .390 average and a .446 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 85 hits, 7 home runs and driven in 18 runs. |
