Finn Hit Streak Reaches 20 Games Wednesday, August 2nd , 2062 Win or lose, Axel Finn just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 2 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 20 games. The Ahwatukee Roughnecks right fielder went 2-for-4, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated, 12-3, by the Yuma Gnomes at Tempe Diablo Stadium. "It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." Axel Finn walked in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and struck out in the 9th. Looking at his season stats, Finn has compiled a .470 batting average and a .544 on-base percentage, while hitting 13 home runs and driving in 44 runs. |
