3-HR Day for Pimentel Thursday, June 20th , 2052 It was a good day for the Oviedo Catch and an exceptional one for Oliver Pimentel. The 21-year-old center fielder sent three bombs out of the park to help the Catch beat the Surprise Sidewinders 10-6 at Ballpark of Oviedo. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Pimentel said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 7 runs and smacked 4 hits in 5 at-bats. Oliver Pimentel hit a solo-shot off Grant Ingram in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Grant Ingram in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Erwin Mejia in the 7th and struck out in the 8th. |
