Bristol Stops Palmer's Hit Streak Wednesday, August 16th , 2051 Ogden Raptors center fielder Nolan Palmer and his hot bat finally met their match today at Lindquist Field. The Bristol Pirates snapped his 21-game hitting string, holding Palmer hitless in 3 at-bats and also whipping Ogden for good measure. "We're real pleased with this one," Pirates manager Jonathan McLaughlin said. "Nobody wants to be on the wrong end of a streak like that, and clobbering Ogden makes it even sweeter." Currently Palmer is batting .335 with 4 home runs and 17 RBIs. |
