Great Week for Calgary's Sid Lippold Monday, August 7th , 2051 Not every ball that came off Sid Lippold's bat last week was a line drive or a towering shot -- it just seemed that way to the teams that played the Calgary Cannons. For his exploits, Lippold was named this week's Pioneer League Player of the Week award. The Calgary first baseman put up 13 hits in 27 at-bats and 5 home runs while hitting .481 with 13 RBIs and 8 runs scored. This year Lippold has batted at a .340 pace with 55 hits, 10 home runs, 31 RBIs and scored 24 times. |
