Carr Smashes 3 HR Thursday, July 13th , 2051 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Melaleuca Field buzzing, Butte Americans third baseman Jesse Carr blasted a trio of home runs en route to a 12-11 win over the Idaho Falls Chukars. "Everything was clicking," Carr told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Carr shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Americans manager Daniel Ashe said. "Jesse played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Jesse Carr hit a solo-shot off Lawrence Yancey in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Lawrence Yancey in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Lee Brim in the 5th, walked in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. This year Carr is hitting .429 with 3 home runs and 7 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .600 clip and scored 4 runs. |
