Hit Parade: Romero Pops 5 Hits Thursday, September 7th , 2062 After a 5-hit effort to lead Rocky Mountain's 8-7 victory over the Lethbridge Black Diamonds, shortstop Pablo Romero told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day." "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the Rookie Advanced-level is really something special." The 21-year-old player earned his accolades at Ballpark of Portsmouth with a spectacular 5-for-5 game against the Black Diamonds. "His swing is getting there," said Vibes skipper Alex Pauls, who spoke glowingly of Romero after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Pablo did that to perfection." Pablo Romero walked in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Murdock Chamberlain in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 10th.
