3-Game Suspensions for Richards-Jones Fight
Friday, July 30th , 2060
The fans at Howard Johnson Field saw it all yesterday in the Black Diamonds-Voyagers game -- pushes, shoves, scuffles, a few tackles, a few swings, a few feeble punches -- and a baseball game, too. When the ruckus was over, only two players were sent to the showers by the umpire crew. Lethbridge's Donovan Richards and Great Falls's C.J. Jones were ejected from the game.
Today the two players were suspended 3 games by the league commissioner.
Richards is currently hitting at a .307 pace with 1 home run, 8 RBIs and has scored 11 times.
To date he has nailed down 0 saves for his club. In 10 relief appearances, Jones has 15 strikeouts in 13.2 innings with a 0.00 ERA and a 2-0 mark.
