Hampton Celebrates Wild Card Win Sunday, September 11th , 2050 It wasn't the Appalachian League West Division crown that the Hampton Orioles set out to win, but that didn't stop the players and coaches from celebrating their postseason berth excitedly. "All we've got to do is get hot and the next thing you know we'll be in the R+ Championship Series," said starting pitcher Quint Anders. "Everyone in the league knows we're capable of going on a run and can be dangerous." The club's 38-32 record has guaranteed them a shot in the postseason, where they will be looking for the 1st Rookie Advanced championship in franchise history. |
