Novak Belts 3 HR Against Hampton Monday, August 22nd , 2050 Wally Novak brutalized the Hampton Orioles pitching staff, launching three home runs in today's 19-2 victory at Ballpark of Cheyenne. The Cheyenne Chiefs right fielder was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 3-for-4 with 6 RBIs and 5 runs scored. "Too much Wally Novak today," Orioles manager Manuel Ochoa said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." Wally Novak hit a solo-shot off Brent McRae in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Brent McRae in the 5th, walked in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Justin McCarthy Jr. in the 6th and walked in the 8th. Currently Novak is batting .248 with 8 home runs, 23 RBIs and 31 runs scored. |
