Robison Rips Ogden for 5 Hits Friday, August 12th , 2050 A jubilant Tyler Robison joined the postgame press conference at Hampton Stadium today to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Ogden Raptors pitching staff he had just vanquished. "It may not have looked like it," said the Hampton Orioles first baseman, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different." That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-5 hitting performance, which led the Orioles to a 10-5 win. "He made it look easy," said Matt Gissler, manager of the Raptors. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously." Tyler Robison singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Cato Deem in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Josh Tolbert in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Kelsey Vong in the 8th. Robison is batting .314 this season in 45 games with 11 home runs, 31 RBIs and 26 runs scored. He has 43 hits in 137 at-bats. View Boxscore |
