Rolland Singleton Out for Season Saturday, June 22nd , 2052 The doctors have spoken and Rolland Singleton of the Raleigh Cubs didn't like what he heard. The 21-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Singleton sustained his season-ending injury during the Fayetteville Frogs game yesterday at Fayetteville Grounds. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Raleigh medical staff reported Singleton had a torn back muscle and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months. |
