State College Sweeps into the Divisional Series Thursday, September 9th , 2060 The State College Spikes outclassed the Connecticut Tigers in all facets of the game throughout the NYP Wild Card Series. The end result was a State College series sweep to advance to the Divisional Series, capped off by a 3-2 win in the final game. "We're a bit surprised it's over in a sweep, to be honest with you," said designated hitter Charles Bliss, who hit .778 in the series. Bliss's standout effort garnered him MVP honors. He also put up a .778 on-base percentage and had 0 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Divisional Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wild Card Series finishes.
