Thursday, August 31st , 2062
David Limon punished the Lowell Spinners, leading the Lobsters to a win, 7-5. In doing so, Limon hit for the cycle, tagging the Spinners for 4 hits in 6 at-bats.
A player hitting a single, a double, a triple and a home run in the same game is one of the more unusual feats in professional baseball and typically happens only a couple times per season.
"Well, I didn't expect that to happen," the Maine left fielder said after the game. "I got some great pitches and I hit their mistakes."
Limon also had 1 run batted in and 3 runs scored in the game at Portland Ballpark.
David Limon hit a solo-shot off David Leiva in the 1st, tripled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and flied out in the 8th.
So far this season, Limon is hitting .313 with 10 home runs.
